What was old is now new again apparently; big gaudy jewelry is making a strong push for this fall and the evidence is already out there. Celebrities and fashionistas alike are sporting big beautiful necklaces and bracelets that would have had fashion police crying “foul” in recent years. Not only are jewelry wearers going big, they are going layered with the oversized-not necessarily overpriced-fashion accessories. Some charms added to these large pieces are as big as a baby’s fist and dangle well below the neckline. The First Lady has already been spotted carrying this trend forward and the runways are ablaze with big shiny reminders to the commoners on what we need to be looking for.
Don’t be mistaken though; this “heavy” trend is not just for the ladies as men are sporting necklaces that you could pull your car with. Ropes of chains corded together or just laying one on top of another, this big bold look is gaining some serious steam. Look for extra large flowers and huge stones of any color to spruce up that already fabulous ensemble you are planning on wearing this fall.
